Vintage Me

“Seemingly distant–

Missing the piece I never knew

Awake even in sleep

Tired but lucidly aware–

Verging on purgatory and ambivalence–

With a twist of euphoria to break up the monotony.

Glimpses of light exiting to darkness

Independent only when dependent

Seeking for the search

Afraid of the answer

Contaminated soul trying to be strained

Boundaries crossed

And wanting more

Sick of making decisions

Scared of the real ‘you’–

Unsure of why

In search of the truth

I come to you

Alone.” -Shea 2010

  3. Searching for yourself? A little confused as to the message/theme, but enjoyed the words/their juxtaposition nonetheless
