My Labyrinth

“Searching for the root–

brings up more dirt than expected.

The quest for completion always seems

To circle back to the origin-

Causing a distinct pardoxical dichotomy.

Referencing the past to fortell the future-

Leaves more questions than answers.

Intellect being separated from intuition,

Reflection enmeshed with regret–

Straining the Yin from Yang,

Only to discover-

The two cannot survive independently.

Freedom is a double-edged sword

Polar opposites could not be more alike.” Shea 2010
